Hi everyone, Nancy here today to share a layout I made with more products from my Your Memories Here grab bag. I purchased the large grab bag and have been scrapping up a storm with it for these last few months. I still can't believe how many projects I have completed using the goodies that came in this box and while not all the yummy goodies came from the box....it really was the base of my project.

I used a sketch I found by Melinda Spinks to complete this project. I loved all the little blocks of color.

I used my Tim Holtz Distress Stains to color the birdcage, bird, and butterfly and then accented the bird with some Glimmer Glam. I colored my seem binding in the same way. I also used the Distress stain to color my canvas resist pieces.

Kristina has placed the Prima order, but there is still a few grab bags and complete collection kits left, if you would like to order one for yourself.

Hey y'all! I'm back again to share another Your Memories Here project with ya - this one a super cute & easy, upcyled DIY organizer for your craft room! I had originally planned to share a Valentine project, but decided some of y'all might need a break from all the lovey dovey crafts out there - especially today. Not everyone celebrates Valentines & not everyone has someone to share it with, so I hope you enjoy my crafty container today that, in its former life, was french fried onion can. LOL! You can really look anywhere around your house for items to spruce up & help organize any room in your house, especially your crafty area. So not only can you feel good about crafting something useful, but your helping out the environment too. And wouldn't a cutesy can like this be adorable holding a special goodie bag filled with treats too?!

Frosted Kisses-DT project by Nanné

Living in Finland, we have long and cold winters.. Its mid February and were all freezing our tooshie's off..LOL It hit -17F the other day, so it was nice to stay in the house, hide away in my craft room and create..

With it being so cold and the ground covered in snow, I wanted to use my Prima North Country paper collection to create a winter themed layout for my daughter..

this layout measures 12x12, but I used a 6x6 paper stack.. I love the smaller paper stacks when creating a layout that focus's on one corner, cause you won't be wasting paper, not have a lot of scraps left over and they are so inexpensive..

I used a lot of different techniques on this layout.. One being heat embossing (white snow flakes- Embossing Ink and white embossing powder) and I also did a lot of edge punching.. Made my own roses using some of the papers from the North Country collection, plus used my circles punches to punch out the snowflake images from the paper collection..

The photo is my daughter and her boyfriend Jooa, they have been together for over a year now..

You can see all of the edge punching, plus the punched snow flakes, tiny flowers and butterflies..

I brushed the edges with some distress ink so that it would stand out more..

and finally my hand made roses.. I took three sheets of the coordinating papers from the collection and ran them through my cuttlebug along with Sizzix's Tattered Florals die.. once I had them put together, I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the edges and then sprinkled them with white glitter.. I cut the leaves with my Cricut Imagine.

The tiny flowers have a drop of white liquid pearls in the centers..

All Loved Up

Yep it is that time of year once again where the stores are overflowing with chocolates and candy as well as roses of all varieties in preparation for Valentines Day. Now whilst I have made my hubby a card for Valentines I cant very well show it here because he would see it in advance..so to throw him off track I got busy creating this cute little 'love shack' instead. I used lots of goodies that were already in my stash but never fear you can get the Prima goodies you see from the STORE. I used the Madeline 6x6 paper pad for the covering of the house. I also used Distress Stain in Walnut ahead of time to darken the wood at the base of the walls. The velvet ribbon is also from Prima that was in my stash on spools.
The canvas board I asked my husband ever so sweetly to cut it to the shape I had marked out in advance...cos I am no good with power tools like his band saw (i could see me ending up missing fingers!!) I painted it using Forest Moss Folk Art paint and adhere the wooden fence with hot glue. I used Distress Stain in Spun Sugar over the fence to add a slight tint of colour. The alphas are from the Summer Prima release and I LOVE THEM!! 695 alphas in one packet...who would not love that! The Prima resin lamps are from the Summer Release and I am loving those resins! The mini pot was in my stash hidden away for such a project. I filled it with sprigs of 'berries' as well as Prima Gems and made them into a tree of sorts. the gorgeous feathery pink flower was also from the Summer Release and I have been itching to use it on that something special...

Update: Sweet Retreat

Can you believe the Sweet Retreat is just a little more than 2 months away?! Wow the time is flying by!
All the details are coming together and class kits are being finalized.
If you've already reserved your spot, you'll be glad you did because this is going to be an AMAZING event! And if you haven't made your reservation yet, there is still time! We will be taking reservations up till March 31, 2012 or until we sell out of spots. If you are using our monthly payment plan option, you will still have until April 26th to pay (one extra month) but we need to have your reservation by the March deadline.

Bee Mine

TGIF! Dana here today with a quick and simple Valentine's Day card using the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Collection. I just love the selection of red patterned papers in this package and thought they would make a great not-too-feminine card for my husband. I added some Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to the edges of my papers, as well as some Ranger Distress Stickles in Barn Door. For a little dimension I attached the bee to my card using a Helmar Zapdot. I finished the card with a button and some twine.

Happy Layout

Hi there! I can't tell you how excited I am to be back on the Design Team at Your Memories Here! I love all the fun new products in the store and I love getting my hands on them even more. This layout is of my two girls and I love the happy smiling faces.

I used everything Prima on this layout. The paper, lace, flowers, gems, journal card, canvas title and embellishments are all yummy Prima. I did ink the paper with Distress ink in Brushed Corduroy and Lipstick Pink. Have you checked out all the beautiful Lace at yourmemorieshere.com? Well, you should. :)

These papers are from 2 different lines and they go together perfectly. That's why I always keep my leftovers because I can always mix and match with other lines. I love that. It makes your dollar go even further.

I painted the plain canvas letters white and then lightly went around the edges with the pink distress ink.

Go look at the store and pick some things for yourself for Valentine's Day. Gotta show yourself some love to ya know!

Hi everyone, today I wanted to share a project I made for Valentines Day. Ainsley is always leaving me sweet little notes and I had this old mailbox from the dollar spot at target lying around so....

I used an older scrap of paper from the Pink Paislee Sweetness collection to cover the mailbox and then added lots of fun little bits. I made the roses from Kraft Core Cardstock. I cut them using the Sizzix Pinecone die from Tim Holtz. I special ordered this die from Kristina at Your Memories Here after watching the 12 tags of Christmas this year. Did you know Kristina can place special orders for you? Just shoot her an email and ask. She has great prices on lots of yummy goodies.

I accented the roses with some diamond stickles and then added some bits of bling that I cut up and a few butterflies.

I tied a bit of seam binding that I dyed with Distress Stain in Tattered Rose and a bauble to the flag for interest.

Sorry for the extended hiatus - the holidays caught up me big time and then some other health issues popped up of which I had to take care. Prima Inspired Tag- DT post

Happy Monday fellow scrappers..
I've always admired the hand made tags that I've seen so many wonderfully talented crafters create and for my Design Team project, I decided to give one a try..
I grabbed some of these AMAZING papers by S.E.I Windsor papers ..
I chose the brown and cream cardstock (that came in the collection) and the gold embossed papers, which is OMG, Gorgeous!!

Here is my tag:

I called this Prima inspired cause I added some of the Prima Camille roses, Mini roses and the Prima Lace trim, which I actually misted a short piece with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist in a brown.. but you could make this any color to own liking.. I think a nice soft pink one is the next tag on my list..LOL

I cut a plain piece of cardboard about 4"x6" and then started ripping at the corners and edges to try to reveal some of corrugating on the inside.. once I had done, I grabbed some Ranger paint dabbers and distress inks and just randomly started applying coats of colors to the sides and edges of the tag..
Once it had dried with a little help from my heating tool, I glued down the papers..

Here you can see the two different shades on the prima trim, the brown one has been glimmer misted and then I used Helmers Gemstone glue to glue down the string of pearl.. I love that gemstone glue, its the best stuff when it comes to gluing down trim like pearls for instance.. dries absolutely clear!!

I took the cream colored cardtock and ran it through my cuttlebug with one of Tim Holtz embossing folders, it has clocks on it.. which I then rubbed some distress over it and then with my fingers, rubbed in some gold paint.. My mini roses were also rubbed down with some gold paint..

and finally my birdcage, which I cut out of white cardstock using my cricut Imagine.. I then painted it with gold paint, added a few drops of gold colored liquid pearl.. I also placed a piece of that gold embossed paper behind the birdcage, you can really see how beautiful that paper really is..
I attached the birdcage with Zap (foam) dots just so that it had some dimension to it..
last bit, I took some Prima leaves and rubbed those with gold paint and then adhered them to the tag, tucking them behind the flowers.. plus, I can't forget that I added a Prima button that came in my grab bag that I got from Kristina..

Shadow Box Sunday

Good Afternoon everyone, it's Terri here. I am making this a quick post today as I am swamped with other things that require my attention. Today I am showing you a shadow box I made using lots of Prima goodies.

I used a large canvas that I had in my stash for this project. I painted the outside with a Pantone paint called Brown sugar. It is a lovely colour that is not too opaque and works nicely with the colour palette I chose. I then measured and trimmed the papers to fit inside the frame as well as around the outer edges. I have inked all the edges using Tim Holtz Distress inks, first the iced spruce ink then the vintage photo ink. I trimmed out the inside of the frame using a velvet ribbon I had in my stash. The papers I used were leftovers from my Bo Bunny stash that I just love!! I used some Prima leaves from the summer collections as well as an antique mirror

Once I sealed it with acetate I placed a length of fringed ribbon on the bottom of the frame. I placed the paper over the top of it all so that you can not see the seams. I placed the gorgeous Prima vine and assorted leaves along the edges and lastly I inked the resin Prima bird with Distress Ink before placing him overhead. I am so happy with how this came out, now I just need to find it a new home.

Hi everyone, Nancy here to share a quick project. Sorry for the delayed post, but I forgot that I was going to post today since the Your Memories Here dt announcement was on Wednesday.

I have been having a great time playing with the Ruby Violet collection from Prima. I have found the products to be so versatile. Here I mixed them with some Crate Paper to create a more whimsical look.

There are so many beautiful layers to these products; metal, jewels, resin, chipboard.

I also added some Prima canvas resist pieces that I sprayed with a bit of Glimmer Mist.

Webster's Pages Arch

Good morning! It's Dana here today and I'm excited to share my first project for YMH! I'm a big Webster's Pages fan. I just love the detailed designs featured in the Webster's Pages Collections. They're perfect for cutting and layering on projects. There are times when I want to create something small and fun, so rather than cutting into a full sheet of patterned paper, I use notecards or journaling cards. The Webster's Pages Notecards come printed with the same wonderful patterns as the patterned papers, only smaller, which makes them the perfect base for small projects such as cards, arches and ATCs.

I used one notecard for the base of my arch and cut the cherries, leaves and bird from another notecard. I folded and curled the leaves and flower petals to help add dimension to my arch. I also added some glaze to the cherries, which really helps the red color pop, and some Ranger Stickles to the flower centers.

I finished my arch with some lace and trim, Prima pearls and Ranger Distress Ink around the edges. If you haven't created arches, I hope I have inspired you to try something new!

Hello February!

I'm glad January is over, one month of cold weather done about 3 more to go (why do I live in Ohio again?)
Anyway, you didn't come here to read me complain about the weather right?
I bet you would like to know more about our new design team. Well, let's start with the "brand newest" addition to the team - Dana In her own words:
My name is Dana Tatar and I am a stay-at-home mom. I have two daughters. I married my high school sweetheart in 2003 and have been happy ever since. I graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Biochemistry and worked in that field for about 3 years before I gave birth to my first daughter and decided to stay home full time. I have had many hobbies over the years, but scrapping is the one that really gives me satisfaction. I started scrapbooking to preserve memories after the birth of my first daughter and have grown to love the creative outlet. I love to mix products from different collections on my layouts and I frequently find inspiration in music, poetry and pop culture. I love fussy cutting and flowers and both can be seen on the majority of my layouts. I would say that my dominant scrappy styles are clean and simple and shabby, but I do like to mix things up a bit, depending on the paper or photos I want to use. When I'm not scrapping, I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, listening to music and spending time outdoors with my family and basset hound.
We are excited to have Dana join our team, she'll be posting later this week so if you want to see some of her previous work check out her blog
The rest of our team you have already met before (at one time or another)

Spring Friendship Mini Album- DT for YMH

This mini seemed to take forever to get done but I just can't wait to share it with you all.. It was amazingly fun to create and I got to use some of my very favorite supplies, one being Prima papers and flowers..Oh My!! and let me tell you all, I must be one of the luckiest people to be able to work with Prima's and I get mine from Your Memories Here.. As you all know, I live in Finland so finding Prima supplies here is rare to none, and you all should know by now, that I hold a special place in my heart for suppliers that ship international and Kristina from YMH does.. I'm always eye balling her stuff (<---that sounded weird..LOL) to see what I can get and put together and so, that's where this mini album comes in...

I found some pink business sized envelopes in my stash, some sheets of chipboard, my butterfly punch, stamps, loads of Prima goodies and went to town.. I was in my creative zone for three days and finally, here is what I ended up with:

This cute & puffy mini measures 6.5" long and 4.5" wide.. I cut my own tags out of chipboard and attached them in between the envelope pockets.. and all of the papers I used on this mini came in the Sparkling Spring Collection by Prima..I am a sucker for these 6x6 paper pads cause they are so versatile and go a long way.. I mean seriously, I made a few cards last week with it and now, I have a mini album all done, plus I have loads of paper left for more projects..

I took a Tim Holtz clip and tied some white ribbon to it, to help keep it closed..LOL

The inside.. Had a hard time trying to get good photos of all the pages cause

they didn't wanna cooperate..LOL

The first page.. made two pockets with the bit of envelope I cut off the one end and the other

side I used Ranger distress ink and one of my Prima Masks for the photo mat, plus all the pretty Prima flowers.. I used several different flower collections, one being the Sunrise yellow Mini roses..

My big tag, same thing with ink and masking.. plus, I added some liquid pearl drops all over the place and Love the stamps I used.

I also used some of the bigger Prima Flowers., the yellow Lilliput roses are amazing..

I also used Prima's floret collection-Camille, and these small roses are all made out of Mulberry paper..

I almost forgot, I had some transparency sheets and I cut one almost the same size as the photo mat, I folded one end of it and tucked it behind the side of the photo mat, stamped a big butterfly image on it and then added some punched butterflies plus a little blue Prima rose

I apologize that these photos are not in the right order, but I had such a hard time taking photos of this cause the pages wouldn't stay open.. I actually used a few of the clips to help pull the pages apart long enough to be able to snap a photo..LOL so, I actually wasn't able to take the photos in order..

Ok.. whew!! that was a lot of photos to upload, but I'm in love with this mini and can't wait get go rummage through some of my daughters photos from when she was younger and add them in here or actually maybe, I will give this to her as a gift and she can add her own memories in it..Hmmmm!! LOL

A Cute Little Stool

Good Afternoon Blogland!

Today I am bringing you a cute little wooden stool that I I decided to alter. I found this stool in Hobby Lobby after I dragged my husband there as payback for taking me to my first ever gun show! I was wandering the aisles while we talked about life,guns and crafts and as I rounded the end of the aisle I saw the stool and the idea formed in my head. I wanted to make sure I could get the supplies I would need so we walked a few aisles over and grabbed them.

Now I have used lots and lots of products from Your Memories Here There is also lots and lots of Prima Flowers and ribbon as well.
I started off by painting the entire stool with a Folk Art Seamist paint. It matched beautifully with the Bo Bunny papers I had in my stash. I used a Tim Holtz stamp along the edges of the paper for the base of the stool and used my embossing pad so that I could highlight the stamping using Ranger Perfect Pearls. I love the slight shimmer they give to a project. Now anyone who knows me well knows I am so not a fan of embossing stamping or any of that stuff but I think it could grow on me...but shhhhh ok! I broke out my Big Shot and used my gorgeous Tim Holtz birdcage die and got busy cutting. There was this amazing woman who had made a 3dimensional birdcage from this die and I saw it on Facebook a while ago (you can see her version HERE)...I knew one day I would make it and this week was my day. After I assembled the cage and got it inked with distress inks I topped it with some feathery Prima flowers. Lots of hot glue and Glimmer Mist later...it was finished. I have absolutely NO idea where I will put it but I love it all the same :)

Hi everyone....Sandi here sharing with you and I am feeling a little sad today as this is my last post as a designer at Your Memories Here. It has been a WONDERFUL six months and Kristina and the other DT ladies are some of the kindest, sweetest souls I have met in this awesome hobby. I am now working 2-3 days a week, along with my full time studies so I am limiting myself in terms of commitments. But I will continue to follow all their blogs and shop at Your Memories Here. I recently found an awesome challenge site called White With 1 and the you had to use lime green and buttons. I like challenges that limit my options because if not, just about everything in the scraproom is on the desk plus I have serious issues with details...cannot stop adding! This is my hubby and me taken on a little vacation. a few years back. I used papers from Pink Paislee and My Minds Eye and most of the embellies came from the Prima Grab Bag(flowers, leaves, Chipboard title, resin window, Prima brickwall stamp)

I also used a stamp from Tattered Angels to stamp the post mark in the lower corner. I did the usual sewing and added lots of layers using cardboard, torn paper, cheesecloth and Websters Trim.

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you my latest project made with my Prima grab bag from Your Memories Here. I still can't believe how many wonderful things I received in my box....and how many more I still have.

I love all the gorgeous goodies that my box had. Papers, art tiles, butterflies, flowers, resins, trims, bling...oh my! Here are just a few items for closer inspection.....

This box has given me so much to play with these past few months. And yet, there is always more. I am forever digging in to find more treasures.

That said....Winter CHA is upon us and Prima has released its sneaks of the lines. And I can't decide which I must have. So, I am asking you to help me. Kristina is offering complete kits of each of the six new Prima lines in the store as a pre-order. I think I have narrowed my choice down to these two...

Valentine's Day cards-Project by Nanné

Happy Monday ladies...

Its Nanné again and I'm here to share with you a few Valentine's day cards I created as my Design Team project this week.. I got this cute Prima 6x6 stack called Sparkling Spring

and I loved the soft flowery and spotted prints that were in there.. I wanted to create a few quick and simple cards and since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I figured no better subject than that..LOL

so, here are my cards:

This was the first card I made. .Using the pinks and greens from the collection.. Hand made the rosette by cutting two strips of paper measuring 1.5" x 6", then using my paper trimmer and bone folder, I creased it every half an inch.. then used really strong adhesive to hold the ends together and easily was able to create a cute rosette..

did some computer generated journaling, which I then hand cut into little banners.. MS punch for the butterflies and liquid pearl drops..

and then for second card.. I used the same paper collection which is the Prima Sparkling Spring 6x6 stack.. I'm telling ya, I'm going to be creating a lot of cute little projects with this stack, cause its packed with paper..

For this one, I used the greens and dark pinks.. plus some of the flower prints.. Distressed the edges and made another rosette to match.. this time cutting three strips of paper instead of the two, I prefer this rosette better, folded a lot easier as well :)

I inked the edges with distress ink and punched a few circles for the center.. adding some liquid pearl to accent..

Another computer generated sentiment, which I once again just hand cut onto strips of scraps I left over from the other card.. plus I punched a few butterflies and the lace trim..

Snow Princess

Hi everyone....Sandi posting today a little bit early because I wanted to post this layout to the SOUS Challenge using Nanne's gorgeous sketch. Alot of the goodies you can find at the Your Memories Here Store.Here is Nanne's sketch:

I used some Prima flowers, lace, Resin bird house and nest and the Tattered Angels Architectural Stamps. The kraft paper is from Tim Holtz's resist papers.

I was lucky to find a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch at Walmart for $3. I punched out the snowflakes and then layered some of them back with pop dots and covered with diamond dust to give them a frosty look.

And just a few more close-ups

I made the bling leaves and the paper flowers.

Mixed Media and Goosebumps

Hi everyone, Nancy here! I hope where ever you are today you are warm and dry. I know that many parts of the country are experiencing crazy weather.

I recently decided to start an art journal. I began with a simple watercolor notebook I picked up at Michaels with my coupon. I covered it with some scraps of older Prima watercolor papers that I colored with my Glimmer Mists and other Prima paper scraps. I added bits of fussy cut butterflies, tons of rub ons, and a few pieces of chipboard. Inks and paints blended it all together. My Claudine Helmuth multi-medium keeps it all in one piece.

The first super fun technique I decided to try was using my Goosebumps Texture Spray from Tsukineko. On the cover I used it as a resist. This was so fun, and easy.

After placing my papers I layered my mask and sprayed the texture spray.

I continued on with different paint mediums until I got the look I liked. Sorry about the photo, but I forgot to take one before the whole cover was finished. You know, once you get going.....

I found that the Goosebumps gave my paper a fun, waxy like appearance, so I tried just spraying this little card from my grab bag papers with it directly.

And here my card is with the resist applied.

On the first interior page I once again used the Goosebumps as a resist.

The technique was the same as for the cover.

I found I need to hold the mask down securely and to spray evenly if I want a nice resist.

Lucky for me I wasn't too worried. hee hee

Well, I am sure there will be lots more to share in the coming weeks. For now tho...my niece wants the computer and if you have ever had a two year old in the house...I am sure you understand why I need to go.

Friendship card- DT project for YMH

Happy Monday scrappers..

I've started to count down the days till Friday..LOL My 9 day winter vacation will start Saturday, so I'm as chipper as they come..

and with it being a Monday today, I get to share a project that I have created for Your Memories Here.. I'm trying to challenge myself to see how many versatile projects I can make using the same paper stack.. I am still working with the Prima Printery Collection and I used some of it to create this Friendship card..

yes, I'm really enjoying myself making cards..LOL I guess every once in while we have to push ourselves over the comfort zone wall and try something new..

well.. Here is the card I created:

some black cardstock to make the base of the card, printer papers in the greens and creams.. MS around the page punch and some punched butterflies.. quick, semi-simple yet elegant.. I think at least..LOL

This rosette, I quickly made using some of the green printer collection papers, my paper trimmer and bone folder.. punched the edges before I folded it, punched two small circles, one for the bottom and one for the top.. glued them all together using quick drying glue.. inked the edges with distress ink and dotted 3 pearl drops, which is actually gold liquid pearl..

Hand cut the banner and did a computer generated sentiment, which I printed onto the printery paper.. here you can see the white liquid pearl I used to accent the punched trim and the butterflies..

I also pop dotted the banner and the rosette..

so, with a few items that can be right at Your Memories Here, you can create beautiful cards with out all the fuss..LOL

Another Week Has Flown By...

Good Evening blogland!

This post is rather late today...and I apologize deeply for that....I have been busy with catching up on housework and other mundane chores from the holiday season...and before I knew it...Sunday was almost gone!!

Today sees me sharing a layout I have done using some gorgeous Webster Pages papers. Now for those that know me I very rarely do layouts anymore...there is a very long story as to why but suffice to say that I became rather burnt out on them so now I prefer projects to use my creativity on. This layout was done for a very special woman in my life and for a special reason. My dear friend Karen is going through a rough time in her life (and we all go through those times) and with us living in different states it makes it harder to reach out to give her a hug when she needs it most. So I decided to scrap a photo of us together from June 2010. You see this special woman I met through my husband, they were childhood friends. Life lead them in seperate directions and facebook (of all places) reconnected them...Karen and I became chat buddies as we counted down then days before I moved here to the USA....so a week before our wedding (which I knew Karen and family were travelling from Texas to attend) there was a knock at the front door, and she was standing there holding a bunch of flowers. I screamed and took all the air out of the house LOL! She is my chicky and I am her ducky. We share a bond that I cherish every moment of the day.

ANYWAY - I digress...I have used paint to tone down the colours of the papers as well as some stamping to add some texture. The stamp I have used is an older one from Prima.

Dont forget that there is also the Sweet Retreat in April that is being held/sponsored by the ever wonderful Kristina! All the details are on the link above and I for one can NOT wait to go..candies, crafts and wonderful women!! It will be awesome. I look forward to seeing some of you there...but for now I will be back next week with another share.

Almost 13...Your Memories Here

Hi everyone....Sandi posting today and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!Today I am going to share a layout I made using some goodies from the YMH store.

I was inspired by the new challenge site, CSI. You should check it out! This is my sweet girl and I took this picture New years Eve with my new Canon Rebel that Santa brought me....yay! This was alot of fun to create...think it may be my new favorite layout. I did some distressing, sewing, stamping, misting and fussy cutting. I used lots of Prima flowers and some Prima pom pom trim and Glimmermist in Green Clover.

I also used Distress Ink in Old Paper on my journalling strips.

I did some stamping with acrylic paint and the Prima Brick wall stamp in random spots for my background.

Ruby Wednesday

Hi everyone, Nancy here...sorry I am a little late with today's post, but my models were being uncooperative. (This project needed to dry overnight).

I don't know about you, but as the mom to two daughters, I have hosted my fair share of sleepovers and birthday parties, so I am always looking for fun things for the girls to do as well as party favors. Let me just say that as the children have gotten older the idea of dollar store toys has become less and less popular. So, we have often turned to a fun craft project, something the girls could make and take home, as a double duty purchase.

After making my own Ruby Violet jewelry, from the Your Memories Here store, I thought that the necklace kits might just be the ticket for these teens and tweens. The price is just about perfect and they were super easy to make....

So, I tried it out.

I gave each of the girls a kit and let them go for it. Having suggested designs (2 designs per kit) made it easy for the girls to put together. All they needed was a bit of glue (once again we used my trusty scrapdots) and the included brads.

The girls were able to put them together easily with little assistance from me. I did have to help feed the ribbon through the holes for the final assembly, but other than that and firmly squishing the brads.....

Prima Printary layout by Nanné

I'd say thank god its Monday, but I'd be lying...LOL

Well, I am glad I get to share another project with you that

I created as my DT project for Your Memories Here..

I have had so much fun with the grab bag I got from Kristina over your YMH, it came with the Prima Printery papers and lots of goodies to match..

I decided to make my own flowers for this layout, so I used the Tattered florals cut die from Sizzix's and then lots and lots of Ranger Distress ink and Tattered Angels glimmer mist..

and once again, I grabbed my cuttlebug and did some embossing on the flowers, which its kind of hard to tell from the photos..

I did use a lot of cardstock on this layout and then picked out two sheets of paper that were white with black from the Printer Collection.. I absolutely love this color combination, its so not me...which is a wonderful change.. Need to do some of these layouts more often..LOL

here are a few close ups:

I covered the big flower with Helmar Gemstone glue cause that stuff is amazing and it dries completely clear.. I have to admit, I prefer it to anything else out there..no kidding!! and after wards dipped it in some crystals which I can't think of the proper name for it right now..LOL

The big tag i hand made.. The font I cut with my cricut Imagine and my Gypsy, using the Blackletter font cartridge, cutting it out of black cardstock and adding some white liquid pearl drops.. plus, I once again adhered the string of pearl with the gem glue..

Nope, that is not me in the photo...LOL

Its my mom on her wedding day last May.. She got re-married.. she had on a beautiful turquoise dress and a white shawl ..

and finally a close up of the other flowers.. The smaller blueish flowers are a punch..

A New Year...

Good Afternoon Blogland!I have been rather absent with the blog since just prior to Christmas. There was a lot going on in my personal life that kept me away as well as the Holiday season craziness. I am pleased that today I can share with you a couple of creations that I had done prior to Christmas but as they were gifts I could not share them until now.

I made these Welcome signs for my Mother in Law And Sister In Law for their Christmas gifts. The three of us all enjoy various crafts and we enjoy giving hand made gifts for any and all occassions. This one in particular is made with some Basic Grey papers from my stash that have been inked using Tim Holtz Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used Prima Carlotta Blooms and gorgeous Prima vines that I had in my stash.

The alphas are wooden and I have hand painted them then covered them in a Liquitex Gold Ink to give the shimmer and aged feel I was looking for. The butterflies are hand cut from a piece of Prima Paper

Overall I am thrilled with the end results and they were very well received.

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday break and got to catch up with loved ones. We enjoyed our time with our family and some much needed R&R time here at home.

Hi Everyone! Nancy here with my first post of what is my first layout of the year!

Of course I used my summer CHA Prima grab bag from the YMH store to design this layout. That box of goodies is the gift that keeps on giving. There were so many beautiful products in the box I think I will be scrapping with them forever! That said, I am drooling over the two sneaks I have seen from winter CHA and can't wait to see what is in the others. hee hee

I love all the beautiful papers and they are perfect for a bit of distressing with my distress tool. I mixed lots of layers of Londonerry papers with a few chipboard pieces from the Alla Prima line.

I misted a few canvas resist pieces with my Tattered Angels glimmer mists and added an assortment of flowers, buttons, a mirror piece, lace, resin, an art tile, and vintage trinkets. This projects is filled with Prima goodness.

Gone, but not Forgotten

Hi everyone, Nancy here. I know the Christmas holiday has passed, but before we go too far, I wanted to share with you a quick project I did using a few fun products from the YMH store.

A few weeks ago, I saw Tracy from Helmar glitter the inside of a glass ball using the Hemar V2 Vellum Spray and thought I would give it a try. I had a few clear glass balls lying around, and my youngest wanted to make a special gift for her cousin. I sprayed the inside of the glass ball with the adhesive (the ball gets cold, be careful) making sure to get good coverage. Then I dumped in some glitter. Handing the ball over to my daughter, she swirled the glitter around inside the ball until we had good coverage. After dumping out the excess glitter, we got to the fun part....decorating.

A few Prima flourishes, a couple of flowers and my trusty Scrap Dots and we had a beautiful ornament. My youngest was so proud to show off her handiwork.

Small Gift Giving

Hi everyone, Nancy here! I hope you are having an amazing holiday season. Here at my house we are in full swing preparing for Christmas. Two sets of grandparents arrive today, the children have completed their semester's work and there are only a few days left till the big day.

I have been crafting like crazy to try and get all the handmades done. And you know the children always have a few last minute requests for friends and coaches. Eeeek

Here is a request I finished, a gift holder and coordinating card. I used lots of Prima goodies from my Grab Bag from Your Memories Here (can't wait till spring to see what my next box holds. hee hee).

The little posy can be filled with yummy holiday treats, or even a gift card.

For the card I used some Prima Vines and paper from my box and some older letter stickers from My Minds Eye. After inking the Prima Writers Tape with some Distress Inks, I used a bit of Stickles to brighten and add a bit of sparkle. The posy was made by forming a simple cone and then embellishing with lots of flowers and another vine. I used a bit of lace to make a handle for the posy. I even managed to sneak a little more sparkle in by lightly spraying my tissue paper with a bit of Glimmer Mist. (be careful here, too much water and the tissue will start to dissolve.

Christmas Centerpiece by Sandi

Hi everyone...Sandi posting to day to share a Christmas centerpiece using Prima goodies that you can find at the Your Memories Here Store. I have been looking at Pinterest for inspiration and found so many pretty ideas using epsom salt.

I couldn't find any so I just used coarse salt mixed with glitter. I first stamped plain white candles using Staz On ink and my script stamp. I then coated the candles with very generous coating of Mod Podge and rolled in the salt/glitter mixture. I then added the Prima branch, butterfly and poinsettia flower.

I used a plastic plate that I bought at Walmart for $2.50 as my base and added a few pine cones and branches. Here is a close up of the candles because I wanted you to see how shimmery they are.

Well that's it for me until after Christmas. I just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New year!

Seasons Greetins from Nanné

Happy Monday once again ladies and its only 6 more shopping days till Christmas..LOL I'm done shopping for my kids for this year which is great, usually I'm one of the late comers..LOL

For my design team project for today, I made another Christmas card using the Prima Printer collection that I received in my grab bag, plus I also used the little Prima roses and the bling that also came in the baggy of Prima goodies.. Plus I had some prima lace left over from previous projects, the string of pearl I once attached with Helmars Gemstone Glue , title attached with zapdots for dimension and the title I cut with my Cricut Imagine.. Tried to mimic the little blue rose, by dabbing cold paint on the edges of the letters after I inked them ranger distress inks. Hmmmm.. !! LOL

A Quick Little Mini

Hi everyone! Nancy here with a quick little mini album to highlight a few of my favorite photos of my niece. (which I still need to add)

The base of my mini is A4 Prima Londonerry papers from my Your Memories Here grab bag. I embellished the front with a gorgeous Prima flower, a super fun canvas resist die cut and a bit of bling. Finally I tied it all together with some seam binding I dyed with Olive Vine glimmer mist.

This cute little album is made from two pieces of paper folded and taped together with Prima canvas tape that I dyed with distress inks.

I can't wait to find some cute photos to add to it. And you know, I will be adding lots more flowers and other embellishments.

Holiday Card-Prima

Happy Monday again ladies...

Its Nanné again and I want to share this cute and easy holiday card I created using some of the Prima Printery papers and some Prima bling..

Here is my card:

Its a 5 x7 card, I cut out of white cardstock.. Then I layered different colors of white and black Prima Printery papers, that I got in my Prima Grab Bag.. distressed the edges with my edge distresser and finally, I cut six triangle shapes out of white cardstock, punched the edges with my MS edge punch and inked them with Ranger Distress Ink, Finally adding some Prima Say it With Crystals in green on some of the branches.. layered the tree with Helamar Zapdots to give it some dimension.. Gold ribbon is from my own stash.. cute, quick and pretty simple..LOL

I will be making lots of these for different projects cause it really was that simple :)

Christmas Tag

Hi everyone...Sandi here today to share my very first tag ever!!!It is also my first time heat embossing. I was so inspired by all the beautiful tags that everyone has been creating and thought I would give it a try. I first clear embossed with with my script stamp and then added some black embossing powder.I then inked with Distress Inks in red, green and brown. The letters are Thickers that were originally yellow and I colored them black with a Sharpie Marker

The beautiful branch is from Prima and the snowflake and little bell were bought at the Dollar Store.

Hi everyone, Nancy here today to share with you a layout I made with my grab bag of Summer CHA Prima goodies. In my bag there was a tube of the Pixie Glen Essentials flowers. The colors were gorgeous and worked beautifully with the Random Collection from Crate Paper for this layout.

Patterned Paper, stickers Crate Paper. Prima florals, bling, resins Prima. Hero Arts/Sizzix stamp and die cut, Cricut Doily

There were so many flowers in this tube I think I hardly made a dent. I used my Cricut to make the doily behind my photo and added a bit of lace I had from the YMH store.

I added in a bit of Ruby Violet flowers. The enameled flowers added such an interesting texture...

And of course I cut up a few Prima flourishes to go with the pearl and jewel centers. I even added a little resin birdhouse in the corner.

Inspired Tags..

Hi ladies, its Nanné here and I wanted to share a little something with you that I created..

I know you've seen Tim Holtz tags for his 12 days of Christmas tags..Well I was beyond inspired and wanted to do a little something other than a card or layout, so I grabbed some cardstock and a few supplies and created two tags Tim Holtz style. :)

These are both cut 4x6 from white cardstock, that I inked with several shades of Ranger Distress Inks, then stamped them with a Tim Holtz Visual Artistry stamps..

for this first one, I chose pinks and blues..

I randomly stamped an image on the base of the inked cardstock, then punched out some snowflakes using my MS punch, added some fuzzy trim, Prima flowers (Whisper collection)and Prima Mistletoe.. The base of the title is a Prima Reistant Canvas, which came in my Prima grab bag, the title I cut with my Cricut Imagine in white , then added some adhesive and white Micro Beads, plus some Prima Eline pearls to the middle of the inked snowflakes.. These really are glimmery and shiny, but the inside lighting just didn't do them justice, sorry about that..

finally I punched a hole on to the top of the tag and added some pink ribbon..

and then for the Blue and white tag:

once again, I rubbed the tag with Distress ink, then stamped the diamond image using Ranger Embossing Ink and white embossing powder, heat set it.. stamped a filmstrip image onto white cardstock which I again used Ranger Embossing ink and Ranger distress embossing powder in rust.. heat set that as well.. rubbed some vintage photo ink all over the edges and then folded it up and glued it down to the tag.. I found this Prima flower in my stash, the twigs and leaves are a die from Tim Holtz. The snowflakes are a MS punch, which I once again added some Prima Eline pearls to .. The top note and title I cut with my cricut, sprayed the title with Tattered Angels Frosty Glimmer Mist and glued that down onto the tag using Helmars quick drying glue.. whew!! a lot of work..LOL

I finally rubbed the top corner down with some white liquid pearl and then added drops of baby blue liquid pearl to the diamond stamped image..

I had so much fun making these tags.. You can too with just a few choice supplies from right here at Your Memories Here..

I can't wait to put these tags to some good use, maybe on a card or even a layout.. super fun and easy..

A Quick Card

Happy Sunday Bloggers!

The weeks are flying by as we fast approach Christmas and I am finding myself in more of a panic as each day passes. I have not done a single bit of Christmas shopping and I have to grab a few things to add to the package that is being sent back to Australia arrgghh!!
For today though I have a simply made card that went with the mini album from last week. The papers were from my stash of Pink Paislee and I loved the soft vintage look to these papers. I have inked the edges with two different Distress Inks from Ranger. I added the green lace trim from Prima and some cream scalloped lace I had in my stash. LOTS of gorgeous new Prima Bling
and the final touch was to use the Tim Holtz die to cut out the flower. I adhered everything using Helmar's 450
The card was well received and I loved the finished item. I have done quite a few projects this past week but sadly I can not share them until after Christmas as they are gifts for family and friends...so once January arrives....there will be much sharing of items.

Altered Box..

Hi everyone...Sandi here today to share an altered project I have been working on. I bought this little box at the Dollar Store and I loved its distressed look.Most of the goodies came from the Your Memories Here Store and some from my stash.

I used papers from Prima's Printery Collection but aged them a bit more used Distress ink in Vintage Paper.I also used lots of beautiful Prima flowers, leaves, Bling and trinkets.

I dyed the seam binding and cheesecloth with Glimmer Mist in two colors(Decadent and Oriental Poppy. I used my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and Prima packaging for the butterfly. Here are a few more pics:

Wow it's really December already? Yep it snuck up on me. I knew it was coming, I even made plans for it but just saying it - admitting it's here makes me feel like there is so much to do in soooo little time.
The one thing I have been looking forward to for the first day of December is Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas.

Even if you aren't into that style (distressed grunge) you can still find some ideas and inspiration in his tags - not to mention great tips and techniques that you can apply to you own projects.
Since this is kind of an impromptu post for me (I'm filling in for Cassie) I didn't prepare a project for you. But that doesn't mean I don't have something to share :)

I created this tag over the weekend. I plan on making more, similar ones with my daughters to put on Christmas gifts.
For the base I used kraft card stock and stamped script all over it with a background stamp and some dark brown ink. The rest of the papers are from last years DCWV "Handmade Christmas" stack. The little bird is from the Tim Holtz Bird and Cage Sizzix die. I made the rosette and adorned it with a couple of buttons from my stash. All the edges are inked up with Distress ink in Scattered Twigs ( I just might like that color better than Vintage Photo!) All of these elements are held together good and strong with Helmar 450 Quick Dry.

My friend Cari has been making some gorgeous tags (and I'm so going to be using her ideas too) She's even going to be teaching them on a Live with Prima Class next week! So are you going to make some tags too?

Kissing Ball

Hi everyone, Nancy here with a fun holiday project for your home.

As I am sure you know that when you step under the mistletoe you are inviting a kiss; but did you ever wonder where the tradition came from? Like many of our current traditions, this one comes from the middle ages, but was updated during the reign of Queen Victoria. I found a detailed story here if you are interested, but here is an excerpt....

People would take a potato or apple and tie a pretty ribbon around it as a hanger. Then they would stick sprigs of evergreen, holly and sweet herbs into the potato or apple until it bristled with them.

The herbs in the sweet ball took on the highly romanticized symbolism common to the Victorian area. Simon and Garfunkel weren't the only ones singing about "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme". Each of those herbs plus dozens and dozens more flowers, herbs and plants spoke a unique and private symbolic language to Victorians. The choice of herbs, flowers and boughs could state love, affection, charity, piety and more.

I decided to create my own version of a kissing ball using some beautiful flowers, Distress Inks, and Glimmer Mist from the Your Memories Here store; a bit of seam binding and a styrofoam ball.

I used Festive Berries from the LE Winter Distress Inks to color each flower from the Prima Wildflowers Pillar. (a handful of flowers was all I needed.)

And then spritzed them with a bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist to give them some sparkle and shine.

I cut a few holly leaves with my Sizzix....

And inked them with the other two colors of Distress Ink that were in the kit, Evergreen Bough and Iced Spruce. (hint, a quick fold down the middle, run the fold directly over the pad, and you get a nice vein)

I attached the flowers to the ball using my Helmar 450.

To finish off my project I ran a bit of seam binding across the Evergreen Bough, and added a Prima Rose. A few Prima pearls in the center of each flower and my kissing ball was ready to hang.

I hope I have inspired you to create a little holiday magic in your home this season.

Forever Missed- DT Project

Its yet another Monday and I am so excited to share this layout with you that I created using the papers from the Prima Grab Bag and one of the stamps from the Tattered Angels Architectural Trims.. Those stamps are amazing and I am finding more and more uses for them..

so, here is my project for today's reveal:

This layout will have a photo of my dad who passed away last February.. I just don't have the strength yet to rummage through his old photos.. all in due time :)

I wanted to play around with the papers for this layout.. so, I cut some and rolled them into little rolls, which I glued down to the bottom right hand corner using Helmar quick drying adhesive, adding some paper swirls and then ribbon..

I wanted to stick with the black and white, but then decided to add the little blue flowers because my dad had light blue eyes.. I thought it added a nice touch of accent color to the layout..

I once again added Crackle Accents to the face of the clock, but you can't see the crackle cause the base of the clock is black..LOL another lesson learned..LOL

I found a Prima Lace Rosette in my stash and then hand journaled the date he passed away on the top.. I love how versatile these papers are.. You can use them for any occasion!!

and the stamping.. Oh how I love these stamps.. I used the Brick work stamp and Ranger Embossing ink, with White Embossing powder.. Then heat set it.. I love it!! looks pretty cool.. I thought about rubbing some Black ink on it, but then at the last minute decided to just leave it as is..

A Special Gift For Some Very Special People.

Good Afternoon blogland!

I am sorry this posting is rather late in the day but I had to deliver this gift today before I could post it out in public.For those who do not know when I started working at Autozone I was working with a young guy from New York. We became fast friends and and his girlfriend at the time also became a friend of mine. James and Aly are remarkable people. They are magic to watch as a couple and I have a huge affection for them both. They moved to North Carolina earlier this year and I miss working with James immensley....but his career has taken a turn for the best and so has Aly's since they have been down there.
So when James called me almost 2 months ago and told me he had purchased a ring to propose I was beside myself! As cheesy as this is going to sound he is like a son to me...with the bonus of being a great friend. So when he told me how he was going to propose etc I was almost as excited as he was as he planned it all. So the time passed and finally I got the text saying she had said YES! (like there was ever a doubt she would!)
So I set about making a tiny album using manilla tags for them to place a few photos from that wonderful proposal. I wanted to use the gorgeous new Printery range from Prima as it is so elegant and will highlight their photos from that night.
I used some of the new Prima bling as well throughout the album. I inked all edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint. I edged in Distress Stickles in Antique Linen. On the d-ring I knotted various colours of seam binding and in the middle I have used a Marion Smith Vintage Resin Drop. It was a rpoject made with love for special people in my life....and the smiles when they opened it today at lunch was well worth it :)

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by loved ones and that it was a safe one!

I also did a little sewing and added some Ranger Dimensional Pearls in Lettuce for a little dimension.

Ruby Wednesday

Hi everyone, Nancy! I hope you here in the US are enjoying the day before Thanksgiving! I know I am.

I recently received from Your Memories Here some gorgeous, fun products from the new Prima line, Ruby Violet. You know, when the package arrived I couldn't wait to dive right in!

There are so many gorgeous flowers. So fun, so funky.

The necklace kits can be assembled in any way you choose, but for those who are new to making jewelry, there are photos of finished projects you can just copy. (and you may even have a few leftover pieces for another project.)

One of my favorite things though is that you don't need jump rings, pliers, or other jewelry making tools.

I used just a bit of Helmar's Scrap Dots to hold everything together. But I would imagine the Gemstone glue would work just as well or better.

I had so much fun making these pieces that I think I may pick up a few more kits for my nieces for Christmas. They are only $8.00 in the Your Memories Here store, but during this weekend's Black Friday sale everything is 30% off with the code TURKEY.

Lovely Ladies LO- DT project for YMH

Happy Monday ladies...

Its Nanné again I am practically dying to share another project I created with my handy dandy Prima Grab bag.. I received the Prima Printery collection and it had lots and lots of goodies in it, but I wanted to play around with color this time and see exactly what colors work together..

Here is my layout I created:

So, I started out by getting some brown cardstock and a few stamps.. I first used one of the smaller stamps in the Tattered Angels Architectural Set, Ranger Embossing ink and clear embossing powder.. stamped it randomly on the top of my layout and then heat set the embossing powder.. Rubbing Distress Ink over it afterwards and realized it almost resembles burlap.. how cool is that ? and I got lots of ideas running through my head on how else I can end up using it.. Hmmmmm

My stamped butterflies..

I cut a 8x8 piece of black cardstock and then use one my MS around the edge punches to make the base of my photo mat then started layering the Printery Papers.. choosing the blacks , tans and creams this time..

I distressed the edges and got everything glued down..

I then played around with some of the flowers in my stash and decided to use the aqua colored Prima roses.. In the grab bag comes a big selection of different colored flowers and the aqua rose with the gem in the middle, is one those flowers.. Loving it!!

I did some fussy cutting on this layout .. There are so many wonderful images on these papers and I didn't want to leave anything out.. the clock above the photo is fussy cut from the same piece of paper as are the little circle images.. which I used my 1" hole punch and punched those out..

I also used some of the Gem glue to glue down the string of pearl, which I love this stuff cause it leaves no glue to see once its dry.. I used to use glossy accents, but it left a shiny streak. Not this stuff.. Its perfect!!

I did add some Crackle Accents to the face of the clock, which I love how old and vintage it turned out.

I did end up using some of my own embellishments, like the feathers,lace, ribbon, string of pearl, some of the flowers, leaves, fragment charms and pearl halves..

I also grabbed a Tim Holtz fragment charm and crackle accented a piece of the punched paper onto the back of, adding some ribbon and then pop dotted it behind the flowers in the left corner.. I noticed that it did not crackle as I had hoped..LOL lesson learned!!

These smaller flowers (its a set) you see in this upper photo also come in the grab bag. I love the colors and go well with so many color variations..

I had a way too much fun putting this layout together and trying out new techniques..

Repurposing Fun

Good Morning Blogland!

This week I decided to repurpose a memo board I had purchased some time ago. It used to sit upon my desk here in the office with photo just attached to it and it was rather nice but boring at the same time. So last night after I got home from work and it was silent (the hubby was at a CCW class and the daughter was in PA with her friends) I turned up the music and started to play! I pulled the board apart and grabbed my warm white paint...I layered it on quite thick so it covered the cherry wood finish completely.

The black frame around the outside was painted using a gold metallic paint from my stash. I purposely left the inner edges their original colours so it gave shadow and depth to the overall piece. I then reached for the gorgeous Alla Prima A4 stack of papers and proceeded to choose my paper for the background. I love the softer tones to this paper and it goes well with the outcome I was hoping for. The flowers are the birdy vine are leftovers from my Grab Bag and they suit the project to perfection! Adding just the right amount of bling without being over the top!

The wooden mirror surround is from my stash and I spritzed it with some Glimmer Mist. I used my Big Shot to cut the houses,inking them with two distress inks and laid them at the base of the frame. The floral peat was MESSY to use but I loved the dimension it gave the overall project. Once we get a family photo for the holiday season done I will have it enlarged to go into this frame and hang it happily in my office :)

I hope you liked the project...I am really thrilled with the outcome!

Mosiac Picture Frame

Hi everyone....Sandi posting today to share with you how I transformed a Michaels wooden frame to this frame using some gorgeous embellies from the Your Memories Here Store. Sorry for the crappy picture but it is so dark here today.

This was a tile that we were considering using for our kitchen backsplash. I just tore each one off and glued to the wooden frame using Aleene's Fast Grabbing glue. As you can see I used a very generous coat of glue and plotted the pattern first to make sure the tiles lined up with the frame opening. Here are a few photos:

I then embellished using Prima flowers,leaves, bling, resist canvas butterfly and lace .I also altered the color of the large flower using Glimmermist(Decadent). That's it for me so be sure to visit the store and I would love for you to to visit my blog. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

My Treasure Box

Hi everyone, Nancy here with a project I completed recently. I had a bunch of Cricut cartridge boxes lying around the house so......

With a little help from the Prima grab bag I received from Your Memories Here, I transformed my cartridge box into this cute little treasure.

More of my A4 paper pad, a few beautiful Prima blooms, gorgeous bling, leaves, an adorable resin birdhouse and the cutest little birds nest were all adhered to the box using Claudine Helmuth Multi Medium. I even used a button on the side of my box to help open it.

I misted my seam binding with Glimmer Mist in Sugar Maple and Suede and tied it in a huge bow.

I think I will use this box to house an art journal (that I have yet to make...hee hee). But it may just hold some pretty little goodies. I really can't decide.

Prima Printary-DT project by Nanné

Living in Finland, I rarely get the opportunity to get me some Prima papers.. I was sooooo over joyed when Kristina sent me my very first prima grab bag.. I was like a kid in a candy store..LOL It was hard to choose what papers and flowers I wanted to scrap with first.

Last Monday I shared my first layout that was made using the Printery collection and now today, I get to share the second one..

I am so in love with these colors and the prints are amazing..

so, here is my layout:

I once again started out with simple white cardstock.. Crinkled it in hands.. rubbed some distress over it to catch onto the crinkley bits..<-- sounds so funny LOL Then grabbed my favorite stamp set ever (Tattered Angels Architectural trims) and two different colored distress inks.. dabbed the two inks randomly on the stamp and then starting from the middle, stamped my way out to the sides.. Because the ends of the stamp match, you can make the stamped image as long or as short as you want..

This way, I was able to Create a nice border on both the top and the bottom of the layout..

The photo is of my little Amber when she just turned 3 years old, she is now 22yrs old.. She was playing outside when I took this photo of her..

The cream and the black rose are from the same collection of Prima's.. I hand cut the banner, adhered it to the layout using foam tape squares and then cut the flourish and the title with my cricut imagine and black cardstock.. adding some bling and white liquid pearl drops..

Late Night Creativity

Good Morning Bloggers -- I hope today finds you all well and smiling. I was up late last night with music blasting my ear drums while I got into the creative zone. The original idea is somewhat skewed in my project but overall I am pleased with the outcome. I have had this little paper mache suitcase for a little while and I was not quite sure what to do with it until last night. I was going to attempt to make it into a vintage leather look beat up suitcase...but that didnt happen! Instead I used some gorgeous Pink Paislee papers from my stash and some of the new Prima flowers and ribbon/crystal pieces that came in my grab bag of goodies that I got from Your Memories Here
These flowers are just gorgeous and I love the texture to them as well. The gems can be manouvered very gently so you can get extra bling for your project. The vines are just as beautiful to use and they team very nicely with the metallic Prima leaves

This beautiful butterfly is leftovers from a kit that YMH had from the Live With Prima kits.. and the lace trim is also available in the store HERE. Now that I have this gorgeous little suitcase, I am going to place him on my shelf along with other projects that I dont have a home for and move onto the some Christmas gifts that I need to get made while I still have the time.

Grade 7 layout & Prima BAP

Hi there blogging friends....Sandi here today to share a layout I made using Prima goodies from the Your Memories Here store and I also used the November BAP sketch. I made this using Prima papers from both the Londenerry and Madeline Collections...loved the color combination. This is my sweet girl on her first day of grade 7.

I did lots of sewing,punching, fussy cutting and some masking with Glimmermist.

The Prima brick wall mask came in the Prima grab bag as did some of the flowers and the Antique mirror leaves along the bottom.I also added some cheesecloth that I colored with Glimmermist and little bits of Prima lace for dimension.Here are a few more closeups:

Here I marked lines with a ruler and just sewed along the lines with my sewing machine and added a few pearls. So that's it for another week...they go by so fast!!!! So check out the store and I would love for you to visit my blog. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Words to live by part 1

I've got the start of what I hope will be a great project for ya'll today. I've seen this around and in fact even read through the class at BPS over it. What is it? It is a Words To Live By mini-album. Now I don't normally do the whole mini-album thing, but I really kept coming back to this one. It's one I will leave out and leat others read and ponder too. Words take up places and can carry lots of power so I wanted to album to be serious with a side of whimsy. The cover you see today is my whimsy. I have been wanting to use this prima paper since I got it but never had a chance...until now. I covered cut 6x6 chipboard with this great travel paper and then whited washed it with a mix of white and gold paint to tone down the pattern. To really mute it down I then flicked some fun Big Apply glam. From some of the leftover paper I cut out an envelope to play on the word TO. I stamped 'live by'. The letters were stamped on white c/s and sponged with Vintage Photo ink. To help those letters stand out a little more I sprayed a white Prima flower with Red Pepper color wash and Old Lace GM. Once the flower was glued down, I used thin pop dots for the letters in 'words' and thicker dots for the envelope. I love the deminsion it give yet can still be handled lots. I can't wait to work on the pages inside and show them to ya'll...

Dress Up?

Good morning bloggers! Hope everyone is having a great day. I am here with a quick and simple project for all the girls in your life. With the holidays rapidly approaching I was thinking my girls could use some dressy headbands. We had a few of the thin, small, plastic headbands lying around the house that no one wears so I went to work. All I needed was my trusty glue, a bit of ribbon (not quite a yard), and a gorgeous flower.

I began by placing a small dollop of Helmar 450 on the inside edge of the headband, then began to wrap the ribbon around the headband, securing with more glue at the top and then again at the end.

I added a gorgeous Prima flower in a coordinating color with more of my glue.

Finally I added a quick little blow underneath the flower.

So quick and easy, and my daughter just loves it! I can see her wearing it with the black dress she selected for Christmas. I think I will make one for my sweet little niece as well. Maybe in pink? or maybe a whole collection using these?

New Primas- DT project by Nanné

After a mad dash to the post office last Friday to pick up my package from Your Memories Here, when I finally got home, I threw the grocery bags on the kitchen floor and grabbed my box of Prima goodies.. (oh, the groceries? Who cares if the ice cream melts, my scrapbooking stuff is more important..LOL)

I absolutely love love love everything that came in the grab bag and here is the first of many layouts I get to create with the Prima "Printery Collection" I received.. papers, flowers and bling Oh my...LOL

and for my layout:

I started with a piece of plain 12x12 white cardstock (yes, you heard me right, white cardstock..LOL).. Inked the edges with several tints of Ranger distress inks, then Stamped the brick work image (Tattered angels Architectural stamps) using black ink and finally layered the Prima papers, folded a cake doily, and added my photo..

last but not least, added a cluster of flowers.. The black silk rose and the mini roses came in the grab bag..wooo hooo!!

I also found some black gem swirls in my stash.. and added drops of white liquid pearl to the edge of the doily and photo mat.

Sensationally Lazy Sunday!

Good Morning Blogland!!!

It is a gorgeous morning here in Ohio...the sun is shining and the sky is blue...just gorgeous outside! Why am I so upbeat today you may ask...because this is my weekend off work...and I have thoroughly needed this to recoup. I have slept in, had a lazy day at the local Historic Society Museum (which was rather interesting actually!) watched movies with my husband and in general just relaxed. I needed this one weekend a month to breathe and I got my project for today finished ahead of time which is always a good thing!

I bought this little mailbox a few weeks ago and had some plan forming in the back of my mind....so when I received happy mail from Kristina this week I knew exactly what I was going to do! I used some of the North Country papers to cover the mailbox after I painted it a Warm White colour. I them inked all edges of the mailbox with Distress Ink in Fire Brick Red,covered the flag with more North Country goodness and edged it with Fire Brick Red Distress Stickles. I had the beautiful stems in my stash so I cut them into workable pieces and attached them the back of my mailbox before arranging the gorgeous Prima flowers on the top....the little birdie was in my stash (he was a Christmas ornament from last year that I had to have!) I trimmed the door with some Prima Ribbon that I had as well.
I love my Happy Mailbox...and now I need to find it a new home.

My try at flower layering

A short post as my hubby is back from a long business trip. I co-worker wore a great neutral outfit today and I was inspired to make this card. The pattern paper is prima as are the flowers. I think there needs to be another flower between teh small one and the crocheted one though. The sentiment is PTI. The background we sponged along the edges with some beautiful neutral distress ink and then the patterned paper was sprayed with some gold glimmer mist for a little something extra.

Hello bloggers, Nancy here with a project using more gorgeous goodies from my YMH grab bag.

I used more of my gorgeous Prima A4 Londenerry papers (I think this pack is going to last me forever) and lots of other yummy goodies from the Prima Grab Bag. As you can tell, I distressed the heck out of the papers with my Distressing Tool and some Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I based the design on Pencil Lines sketch 251.

I have been having a ton of fun with the new Canvas Resists. A little Glimmer Mist and I can match the canvas to my project perfectly, and they have a bit of sparkle. Oh, and see that yummy Alencon Lace! It is definitely another favorite of mine! I also snuck in a small Prima button.

And look at those yummy Prima flowers and the new Prima butterfly (and of course a few more canvas resist pieces). Love!!!

There are still a few small grab bags available in the store, as well as some of the new Ruby Violet grab bags which should be in soon so hurry over and check them out!

Happy Halloween-Haunted Birdhouse

Happy Halloween fellow crafters...

As I am not so patiently waiting and getting beyond excited for my Prima grab bag to arrive (all the way to Finland),

I thought to create something Halloweeny (LOL) that I can put on my shelf as decor and then finally decided to make a haunted bird house.. I've seen lots of cute ones, which I think are gorgeous, but wanted to add a little Halloweeny twist to mine..

This was super simple to make..

just some sheets of chipboard, cardstock, decorative papers, distress inks, good glue, chalks , alphabet stamps and my handy dandy Cricut Expression ..

Super Fast Sunday!

Good Evening bloggers!

I am so sorry this post is so late today! For those who are not aware I only get Sundays off on the weekends so my day is usually filled with the kajillion things that always need done...today was no different! Craft projects, family stuff, retail therapy, and last but not least...sofa surfing time (as I write this blog post that is!)

Anyway onto crafting goodies. We have been moving our daughter into the smaller of the two bedrooms upstairs this week..it seems that having a mini condo was not to her liking as it was far too much for her to keep up with (insert she didnt want to keep it all clean!) so with painting the new room covering the head board on her newish bed and all the assorted drama that goes with it (like JoAnn's telling me it was 2 yards of fabric when it was not even enough to go 3/4 of the way across the headboard...which meant another dash to the store) I managed to squeeze out a small bird house in the colours of her new room.
I used a small birdhouse I got from Pat Catan's and covered it in some Sassafras Lass papers I had in my stash. I inked the endges of the roofing tiles with Broken China Distress Ink and secured them with Helmar Decoupage Paste

The pom pom trim is too cute for words...I bought every colour that Kristina has in the store HERE and it matches the new head board to perfection!
The entire house was spritz with Glimmer Mist in Pearl and it has a lovely shimmer to it under lights. The cute little birdy was purchased at Hobby Lobby a while ago as well.

Dont forget to place your pre-order for the new Limited Edition Winter Distress Inks from Ranger...I know I will be buying a set of these gems!

Hi everyone....Sandi here today to share my new blog header I made from beautiful goodies in the Prima Grab Bag bought at the Your Memories Here Store. I made it from the A4 Londonerry papers and used Prima flowers, lace, alphas, resin window, resist canvas shapes(colored with Glimmer Mist)and the brick stamp. Here are a few close ups:

If you would like to try this for your own blog, this is what I did. I designed it to fit in a area that measured about 11 1/2 x 4 inches. When I had it completed, I re sized it in Picnik(free photo editing and I use it all the time) to 960 x 400 to fit my blog and did a little editing. I didn't stick anything down so now I get to use those beauties again. Be sure to head to the store and get yourself some of those Prima goodies and check out my blog and let me know what ya think! Pretty Little Frame

I've got a pretty little frame for ya'll today. I took a simple (and cheap) frame and attacked it with lots of Prima goodness from YMH. I covered the frame with some Prima paper using Glaudine Hellmuth's Multi-medium. After I did that I went back and forth about sponging on ink or not. I finally decided not to. The next step was to for some bling to act as leaves in a way. I took several swirls and just cut them apart and layed them down where I wanted them. The flowers were colored using some glimmer mist except the cream color one. That came from a flower/butterfly combo. I had used the butterfly on a previous project and haven't known what to do with the flower. Today I took the center bling off and layered my other flower onto it. Now I need to find a quote to go in to for my home :)

Canvas Transfer

A while back, I did a tutorial on my blog where you could use Sticky Back Canvas and patterned paper to do a transfer. I love the look of the patterns on canvas, but I don't always want to use sticky back canvas. Recently I was watching a Live with Prima episode and found out you can do a similar technique using Multi Medium.

For this technique you will need your canvas (other fabrics will work as well, but I suggest you stick to lighter colors), multi medium, paint brush, patterned paper, and a water bottle.

Begin by placing a layer of multi medium onto the canvas where your paper image will go. Remember, do not use words or numbers as inn the end you will have a reverse image, and unless you want to be reading your project in the mirror.....Adhere your image over the top being sure to press firmly. Let dry over night.

The next day, spritz the paper with a bit of water and use your finger to rub off the paper. Yep, this step can be a bit messy.

When complete you should have something that looks like this. The image may not be as bright and vibrant as it could be, but don't worry.

If you would like to brighten it up, a quick coating of Mod Podge should do the trick.

Remember I told you I had more ideas for my A4 papers...this is one of them. The papers have the perfect weight for this technique.

I covered my canvas with some beautiful Prima flowers, many of them brand new from my Your Memories Here grab bag! I also used some of the new gorgeous Prima resins, leaves, alphas, and buttons also from my grab bag. A bit of chipboard from 3Tails Craft and some seam binding I dyed with Glimmer Mist finished this project off.

The new Prima florals are so gorgeous! I love the rich fall colors.

Hey everyone! So sorry for not posting last week...I've been battling some health issues but am doing so much better! I've finally got some projects to share, one of which is this clean and simple LO I whipped up featuring some super fun Cosmo Cricket projects from the Your Memories Here Store!

Lil Shopper-DT project

Boy! These weeks are flying by and with that said, "Happy Monday fellow scrappers!"..

Its Nanné again and I want to share a layout I created for and of my daughter.. There are lots of layers and fussy cutting on this layout, plus my very favorites, Prima Flowers and E line Pearls.. I also ended up using my very favorite collection by Websters Pages..

So, Here is my layout:

White Prima flowers are just the best.. They go with anything and any color palette..

and I used Gemstone glue to glue down some string of Pearl..which was really quick, easy and no mess.

and for a few close ups of the layout:

I only had two big red flowers that were the same, placed those on the bottom of the layout..so, I grabbed a big red Prima one from my stash and then distress inked the edges to match.. came out pretty good :)

these big Alabaster round petal roses are great, as is or you can glimmer mist any color..

I love working with them..

and finally a close up of my daughter.. This was taken last summer as her and boyfriend took a three day cruise over to Sweden.. the tile came from them doing nothing much, except for shopping..

Gorgeous Sunny Sunday!

And I am loving it!!!! It is a glorious day outside today and I am relishing in the sunshine. I have sat on my back deck eating my vegemite on real toast while sipping my coffee...this was made even more perfect by the fact I was watching a fawn frolic in our back yard.Anyway onto crafting projects. Today I decided to share the wreath I made for my front door for the Festive season. I have been busy with other projects but I cat share them as they are Christmas gifts.
The flowers are silver poinsettas from Prima. I got them along with the vine ad crystals last year with this idea in mind...but ever got to it sadly. The willow wreath I covered in white felt and sprayed it with Peppermint Glimmer Mist. I used some copper jewellery wire for to attache and dangle the baubles underneath.For now it is time to fall back into the scrap space to finish off another Christmas gift. Good morning to all my blogging friends. Sandi here today sharing a layout I made with some goodies from the Your Memories Here Store. This is a photo of dear hubby and I just didn't care...I was adding flowers.
I used Tim Holtz Kraft resist papers and MME Wild Asperagus. I did some misting using Tattered Angels Stencils and Oriental Poppy Glimmermist and did a little stamping behind the photo using the Tattered Angels Architectural Trim Stamps.

The funny thing is I had this layout completed when I received my Prima Grab bag and I was tearing stuff off and adding some of the new Prima Londonerry flowers, Prima Resist leaves and the Textured Alphas....that bag is amazing! I did some fussy cutting, random stitching and a few splatters of paint.

I made the bling using this tutorial and I also made some of the smaller flowers(brown,blue and beige ones) using this tutorial

The vines surrounding the picture were bought at Dollerama and the burlap ribbon at Walmart. Next week, I have a different sort of project and what is so good about it is that you can use the supplies for your creation and when it's done you can use them again on another project...how good is that! Fun with Grab Bags

Hi everyone. Nancy here to share with you a layout I made with the super fun grab bag I purchased in the Your Memories Here store.

I used more of my Prima Londonerry A4 papers for this layout, as well as many other great Prima finds from my Your Memories Here grab bag; a gorgeous flower, fun chipboards, beautiful metal trinkets with a bit of Prima lace. As a matter of fact, everything on this layout other than the bits of cardstock (which you know I had to ink with Tim Holtz distress ink) is from Prima. I kept the design fairly simple since I had so many photos on the page.

Sharing Fall Memories

Happy Monday fellow Scrappers!

Its my turn to share a little project with you today that I've been working on..

I used simple white cardstock, some Tim Holtz distress inks and a Prima Mask to create an original background to my fall themed layout.. This was a first for me, so I'm really pleased with how it came out..

I then used some Autumn themed papers I found in my stash, Prima flowers and Leaves, plus some ribbon and brads..

Here is what I ended up with:

I took several different colors of distress ink and applied them all over the edges of my white cardstock using the ink applicator, then held down the Prima Mask with my hand as I took the same colors of ink and smudged them all over the mask using the ink applicator..

Here you can see the white peeking through all of the ink..

It really was super easy..

I layered some papers, added a cute photo my daughter when she was a bay-beh..LOL

Then added a big fall colored Prima flower onto the bottom corner, some orange leaves, the Prima Ivy and finally an orange/white colored Prima flower to the top corner of the photo mat.

and last but not least, randomly placed some chipboard letters I found in my stash along the bottom of the Prima flower ivy, using foam tape squares..

and then for the supplies you will need to create a great layout using white cardstock, a mask and some Inks..

Good Afternoon everyone!

Just a very quick post from me aka Terri today. I have been fighting migraines most of this week and today is no exception. I apologize for how brief this post is but I will add links a little later when I am able to cope with the bright lights.

Here is a quick and simple card I made for my inlaws 45th wedding anniversary. I used some of the new gorgeous mulberry papers from Prima from the Romantique line. These papers are just divine!!!! Edges are inked with Peeled Paint distress ink from Ranger. Flowers and lace are also Prima and you can purchase everything from the store...even better when you can grab it all in one place.

Precious Baby Boy Layout...YMH

Happy Friday Everyone..... Sandi posting today and sharing a layout I made with some goodies from the Your Memories Here Store. I didn`t follow any sketch this time and boy did I struggle...if someone told me I could only do masculine layouts from now on, I would close the scraproom door and never open it again.
Here it is:

This is my son when he was a baby...he is now 20.I made the denim flower but the smaller ones are Prima and I added a few lego blocks and buttons.

I did some stamping with Tattered Angel Architectural Trims stamps and a little spraying with Glimmermist in Sweet Clover.

I glued everything down using Helmar 450 Quickdry Adhesive(great stuff) and did a little inking with Distress Inks in Old paper. Everything else came from my stash...papers are My Mind Eye Wild Asperagus and the the title rubons are also MME.

Hi everyone, Nancy here! I wanted to pop in and share a fun home decor project I made this week with some gorgeous papers from the Your Memories Here store. I found some cute little grapevine pumpkins online for cheap and couldn't wait to embellish.

I used some of the Earth Love papers from Cosmo Cricket and an assortment of flower dies.

And you know I couldn't go without using my fall Tim Holtz LE Distress Inks to ink up my flowers.

I even used the inks on my seam binding with a bit of glimmer mist for sparkle.

I have two more pumpkins that I just can't wait to play with.

Happy Monday fellow Scrappers.. I know, its not my favorite day of the week either, but because I'm able to share with you a little something every Monday, it has certainly grown on me..LOL

Yesterday I grabbed a few things that I thought would make a great layout.. Starting off with was a photo of my daughter, then some of my favorite papers, stamps, punches, bling and of course Prima Flowers, ribbons and trinkets..

Here is what I ended up:

I once again took the Tattered Angels Architectural Trims stamps and stamped around the edge.. I used the brick stamp from the set this time and some Tim Holtz distress inks.. love how it came out, its not so IN YOUR FACE when you use a soft ink..LOL

I then took some of the lace trim and made a rosette out of it and then added small Prima Flower trinket to the center..

some big Prima flowers and other flowers I found in my stash, then finally added two different colored Prima leaves and some Prima Bling..

Good Morning Blogland!!

Now that I have had time to stop and take in this gorgeous weather we are having here in Northeast Ohio I am thoroughly enjoying the burst of sunshine and the warmth.

After the excitement of Homecoming yesterday (it is my daughter's and my first experience with it) I sat myself in the craft space and wanted to create something for the Christmas holidays that are right around the corner. So I pulled out some of the lovely Webster's Pages. This cute little paper pad is just chock full of Festive season fun and it can be found HERE The tinsel around the base is also from a Webster's Page trim set which YMH has in stock HERE
I inked all the shingles with Peeled Paint Distress Ink by Ranger and the body of the bird house was inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink by Ranger. I have sprayed the shingles with some Glimmer Mist which is HERE and I love the subtle glimmer it gives to the entire thing. The beautiful butterfly is from PRIMA of course... and the leaves are a Prima product which is found HERE and the blooms are Prima as well that I have left over from various kits that I have purchased from the YMH store I hope you all have a fabulous week ahead...I am off to share this gorgeous fall day with my family. Hi everyone....Sandi posting today to share a layout I made with some scrappy goodies from the Your Memories Here Store.

It is a rare one because I rarely scrap myself and if I do, it is childhood photos but I have been meaning to do this layout for a long time. If I do it just once a year, it will prove I existed years down the road when I am dead and gone. I used a mix of papers, Bo Bunny Et Cetera and Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden and the Anthology line. Some of the flowers are from Prima and the lace is also Prima. The little squares are tiny ceramic tiles.

I inked the edges with Distress Ink in Old Paper and dyed the frame using Ranger inks...love how it turned out! I found the quote on Pinterest but changed it a little.

Also did some stamping behind the photo using Tattered Angels Architectural Trims Clear Stamps.
